Family-Friendly Summer Activities on the Seacoast: Resources for 2021

Summer is upon us, which means school is out and it’s time for lots of quality time with family! With that said, for some of us, work is still a reality or, perhaps, after a while, the hours of “quality time” might seem to drag on or even feel endless. If you find yourself thinking this way, fear not!

Our team here at PCA has come up with a list of our favorite resources that have helped our families discover all the best places to visit and things to do for a fun-packed summer on the Seacoast. If you haven’t already signed up for our exciting Eagle Camp this summer, and in turn find yourself looking for things to do, take a look at a few of these resources that might spark some inspiration:

Kids Calendars

Checking up on kids’ calendars like the Seacoast Kids Calendar Events page is a great way to stay up to date with family-friendly events in the Seacoast area.

Another great calendar to stay updated with is one you can find here by Seacoast Macaroni Kid.

Visit NH

This site includes lists of various fun things to do specific to New Hampshire, from recreation, events, arts and culture, and more. For a list of various family-friendly attractions to visit, you can visit their page here. As New Hampshire’s official travel site by the NH Department of Business and Economic Affair, we think it’s a safe bet that there’s plenty listed here!

Seacoast Moms

A great resource for moms, this page suggests tips related to various ages and stages, articles book recommendations for your teen, or activities for toddlers.

This article provides a list of family-friendly Seacoast hikes.

Not exclusive to the summertime, Seacoast Moms also gives resources based on neighborhood. Here you can find things to do in Dover as well as Portsmouth.

NH Magazine

Whether it’s finding out where to pick your own strawberries, finding out about events happening in June, or figuring out where to watch your fireworks for the Fourth of July, NH Magazine’s Family page is a great resource to find fun things to do this summer.

We hope that a few of these resources help your family find fun activities to do in the upcoming summer months! If you’re filling up your calendar now, we hope it’s full of enriching opportunities not only for your children to have fun, but learn and grow as they do it! PCA’s way of offering this type of opportunity to your children is through Eagle Camp is. Eagle Camp invites children from age 3 to 6th grade to enjoy eight weeks of fun, creative, and educational day programs, each week of having a different theme with different activities. Campers will enjoy adventures every week that include water play, outdoor play, and time spent in the water! Registration is still open and we invite you to join us for an enriching and fun-filled summer on our waterfront campus!
