Building the Future of PCA
How Long Did It Take to Build Rome?
“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour.” – John Heywood
When it comes to tackling something huge, John Heywood’s words are fitting for PCA’s multi-step, multi-year Next 1,000 Graduates Plan. The total dollar amount of the full plan seems near-impossible in one fell swoop…just like building a massive city.
Instead, the plan is broken down into four steps over 30 years, and within each step are layered initiatives and projects. We’re currently in step 2 of the plan, which is a $7.5M step over a 4-year timeframe that began in 2022 and we hope to be completed at the end of 2026.
It’s a big number, for sure. Then you look back at Step 1 of the plan, when $3.7M was given by our community, and Rome starts taking shape… because donor giving is the fuel that drives our plan forward.
The combination of our faithful God and our responsive and generous community has already seen much of Step 2 “built.” Of the $7.5M, donors already have given almost $2M towards the initiatives within this step. This means we’re looking to see $5.8M given over the next two years to accomplish the plans of Step 2. But the timeline of any philanthropic campaign is driven by donor giving, and it is the givers who will meet or quicken our plans.
Meet the Match
A Matching Gift Challenge
We have an incredible opportunity before us, one who’s timing can only be orchestrated by the Lord. In His goodness and His perfect timing, a donor family has stepped up to inspire and encourage others to fan the flame of inspiration that will create extraordinary learning opportunities at PCA where young minds flourish and dreams take flight.
This family has committed $200,000 as a matching gift for donations received by the end of December 2024! That means that donations given between now and December 31 will be matched by this generous gift. Together, we have the potential to turn $200,000 into $400,000 to achieve the three strategic initiatives of the Next 1,000 Graduates Plan.
We have a bold vision for PCA’s future, one born of thoughtful prayer and aspirational vision for our students and for the future of our school. It’s been our privilege to faithfully serve the Lord and the Seacoast as an institution of Christian education for 45 years. We believe the Lord is paving the way for continued and expanding opportunities for students. Our community’s faithfulness to further PCA’s mission combined with the Lord’s faithfulness to PCA will surely have an enduring impact across multiple generations.
Together, Let’s Make a Difference
Together, we will shape the landscape of our school—literally and figuratively. We endeavor to complete the acquisition of Hope Hill and lay the foundation for building the new Eagles’ Nest Playground. More than simply acquiring and constructing physical spaces, we are cultivating fertile ground for young minds to grow and thrive.
We Need You!
Join us in writing the next chapter of PCA’s story. Let us be faithful stewards of PCA’s heritage and visionary pioneers of the school’s future. Together, we can build on a legacy that has stood the test of time for generations to come.
