PCA’s A team (seniors Riley Sipp, captain, Somersworth; Davy Harju, Nottingham; Rebecca Hotz, Lee, and Joseph Stevens, Rochester) now qualifies for a berth in the State Quiz Bowl Championship in April.

PCA’s Quiz Club, founded in 2004, numbers 40 high school students who enjoy academic competition for the learning, fun competition, teamwork, and challenge.  The team is coached by Donna Capern, librarian; Dr. Raymond Gamble, history teacher; and Eric Savage, math teacher. Eight PCA teams competed in the regional tournament, as well as hosting the event.

The New Hampshire Quiz Bowl League provides statewide academic competition for high school students, through a series of regional tournaments leading to the state championship. Schools from all over New Hampshire compete in these and other academic competitions throughout the region.
