Portsmouth Christian Academy (PCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of David White as the new Assistant Principal of PCA’s Middle School.

Born and raised in Connecticut, David answered a call to New Hampshire ten years ago and now resides in Rochester with his wife, Ally, a PCA Alumnae, and their three children, aged 6, 3, and 1. David brings sixteen years of experience in Christian education, serving in both teaching and administrative roles.

David steps into his role as Assistant Principal with a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Pre-Law from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Gordon College. Prior to PCA, David served at Gordon College and, most recently, at Concord Christian Academy.

Under Middle School Principal, Lois Blatchley, David will further strengthen the relationships between our staff and students, providing the much-needed guidance and mentorship that helps young adolescents grow into their God-given potential at a time of rapid physical, emotional, spiritual and cognitive development. Along with program planning, scheduling, supervision and evaluation, David will be responsible for aiding the Middle School students and faculty in promoting positive school culture through student-discipleship, implementing the Redemptive Discipline Model, and partnering with parents in their child’s education.

“We’re delighted to introduce David White as our new Assistant Principal. With his heart for student development ,and over 16 years in education, he’s joyfully invested in students, seeing them flourish from middle school through higher education and into their professional lives,” said Middle School Principal, Lois Blatchley.

“He deeply cares about building strong, supportive learning communities and meeting students where they are developmentally. He’s skilled at leading teams, managing systems, and fostering community connections. David joined PCA last year when his son enrolled, drawn by our mission, educational quality, and warm community. He’s eager to join us in joyfully honoring God by inspiring students to maximize their potential to impact the world for good,” continued Blatchley. “We’re excited to have him and eager to see what God will do through him this year!”

“What excites me about this role is the opportunity to provide an intentional setting where students can explore their identity,” said White.

“Middle schoolers thrive in a consistent and stable environment, since these years are filled with great change and self-discovery. It is in this space that they can get answers to their biggest questions from the God who made them. For me, advancing PCA’s mission means helping each student discover the unique gifts and passions God has placed in their heart, so they can begin to see how God’s purpose for their life is unfolding. My administrative role allows me to support our teachers, so they can focus on what they do best, and to create a culture of stability through the less glamorous but equally needed behind-the-scenes work. I believe this support will help our students to discover and thrive in their God-given potential.”
