Portsmouth Christian Academy to Host 26th Annual Auction
School’s Largest Fundraiser of the Year Supports Variable Tuition Program
DOVER, NH, MARCH 13, 2021 — Portsmouth Christian Academy (PCA) will hold its 26th Annual Auction virtually this Saturday, March 20th, at 10 AM, featuring over a hundred items from gifts, vacations, and services up for bid. The PCA community has come together to offer exclusive getaways, art pieces, services, and romantic lighthouse dinners up for bid to raise support for tuition assistance for families whose financial situation demonstrates need.
Open to the public, this year’s auction will be broadcast live in support of Covid protocols. Registration can be found at pcaschool.org or at this link. The silent auction is now open, and all items up for bid can be previewed here.
This event raises money for PCA’s Variable Tuition program, which supports almost 50 percent of PCA families financially in their education choice. Mike Runey, Head of School and co-host of Saturday’s auction, says, “Many families want to come to PCA, but cannot due to finances. Our approach is to come alongside families who have demonstrated need with Variable Tuition. Our Annual Auction is the primary way we raise funds to remove the financial obstacles to a PCA education.”
The Ross family, who has benefited from PCA’s Variable Tuition program, shares, “We are very grateful for the opportunity to be part of PCA, and for the tuition support that we have received this past year. Our four children are smiling, happy, and love PCA. Their faith in God has grown, and their eagerness to learn has been heart-warming. The teachers have been so supportive, friendly, and easy to connect with. We have struggled financially this year getting on our feet. We have had to be creative in figuring out how to cover tuition this year. I cannot imagine how we would have managed without the Variable Tuition program.”
Those attending Saturday’s auction can bid on items such as a tour and getaway to Newport, RI mansions, a romantic lighthouse dinner for two, a one-week getaway to Alton Bay, one cord of wood, a wood-fired pizza party for 15, and over a hundred more items. Individuals may also consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation to support PCA’s Variable Tuition program by donating to Sponsor-a-Child.
