PCA Voted Best Private School of the Seacoast

Portsmouth Christian Academy (PCA) has been voted the Best Private School of the Seacoast in the annual Best of the Seacoast awards, sponsored by the Seacoast Media Group!

The Best of the Seacoast recognizes top businesses in a range of categories – from professional services and education to entertainment and health. In all, the awards saw 310,000 votes cast for this year’s nominees.

The Best of the Seacoast award comes on the heels of PCA being named the 2020 #1 Best Private K-12 School in New Hampshire by Niche.com.

Mike Runey, PCA’s Head of School, says, “We’re celebrating our 40th anniversary this year as a school. To be recognized with these two awards affirms the vision that was cast four decades ago by PCA’s founders and is being carried out daily by our teachers, students, and parents.”

Students and parents at PCA have echoed Runey’s appreciation for the dedicated faculty at the school.

Recent PCA alum, Abigail, explains, “Never in a million years did I think this [attending PCA] would happen. I feel happy and am constantly thankful for God’s blessings. Before PCA, I would groan going to school. Now I find joy in it.”

In a region of the country with many educational options, these recognitions set PCA apart from more than 700 school options in the state.

Elaina Russo, PCA’s Director of Enrollment, says that families who are seeking educational alternatives for their children find something unique at PCA. “When families pursue PCA, we see they are searching for something different— things like healthy school culture, academic excellence, Christ-centeredness, character formation and leadership development. Our families drive from 45 different towns from New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts because they’ve seen firsthand the difference PCA makes for their children. This award brings awareness of PCA’s distinctives to other families in the Seacoast region.”
