PCA Senior Samy Tshileu Signs Letter of Intent

Congratulations to PCA senior Samy Tshileu for being recruited to join next year’s men’s soccer team at Division II Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina! This week, Samy signed his letter of intent to play at Coker College during a special ceremony held at PCA. He will begin his study of Political Science and Business in the fall.

Samy has made a tremendous impact at PCA. He has been a Science Fair winner, was elected to Student Council at PCA, served as Vice President of the Junior Class, and has achieved many academic awards and honors while attending PCA. Samy speaks five languages. His favorite subjects are Math and Bible; soccer is his passion. While living in his village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Samy founded a soccer (football) team and also a Boy Scouts troop.

When asked what he wanted to do in the future, Samy said, “My ultimate goal is to make positive political changes in my home country that include the voice of the people and to empower them to participate in their own government.”

Samy was a vital member of our Varsity Boys Soccer Team and was an integral part in leading our team to two consecutive Final Fours in the NHIAA State Tournaments. Samy served as Team Captain for two years, was Honorable Mention All-State during his junior year, and 2nd Team and All-State Team MVP during his senior year. Thank you, Samy, for your many smiles and many soccer goals! We wish you the best!
