PCA Athlete Places 2nd in the NH Track & Field Decathlon Championships

Congratulations to Fiston Kapongo (Class of 2019) who continued to train and compete well after school finished last spring and was rewarded by placing 2nd in the NH Track and Field Decathlon Championships!

This competition included some of best track athletes in the State in a grueling 2-day competition. Just like the Olympic Decathlon which crowns the “World’s Greatest Athlete,” the State competition recognizes a truly versatile athlete. Fiston, who was battling multiple injuries during the competition, was very nearly the overall winner of the event, missing the title by a score of 5069 points to 5021 points. For comparison, this would be the difference in hurdles of less than 0.4 seconds. We are so proud of you, Fiston!

Other dedicated PCA athletes who competed in this event were: David Brackett (senior), Trevor Garton (sophomore), George Cheney (sophomore), and Holly Olson (Class of 2018)
