PCA Alumnus Helps Capture First Place for Husson University
Congratulations to PCA alumnus Zach Hartman (’17) for helping the Husson University’s Mens Cross Country Team capture its first conference title in the history of the men’s cross country program!
Zach led the way by coming in fifth overall (out of 66 runners from 8 different teams) and was named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) all conference first team. He was also chosen to represent Husson University on the NAC Sportsmanship Team. This particular team is reserved for athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
Zach is currently a sophomore at Husson where he is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. He began his running career when he was in fourth grade at PCA. During his time as a PCA Eagle, Zach competed in three NH State Decathlons, three Half Marathons, broke numerous school records, and ran the fastest 3200 meter in our school’s league during his senior year. He is fondly remembered for his crazy running outfits (including a banana costume and Chicken Ramen noodle shorts) when running. But, more importantly, Zach is remembered for his strong commitment to God and his kindness to other people.
We are proud of Zach for leading his Husson teammates in prayer prior to last month’s NAC Championship Meet and for his positive influence and sportsman-like character. Great job, Zach!
