PCA Alumni Making an Impact

A First Look at the PCA Missions Wall

At PCA, we place a great deal of value on who our students become after they leave our campus, grounded in our commitment to inspire each student to maximize their God-given potential. While academic growth and student life are central during these years, the full measure of a school’s impact is seen over time, in the lives its graduates lead, the contributions they make, and the ways they serve others.

Alumni are an important part of our story. Our hope is that they carry forward the lessons, values, and habits formed at PCA, applying them in new contexts and reflecting the heart of PCA in their broader community. Ideally, our alumni stay connected not only through memories but through a shared sense of purpose, living out the principles and character nurtured during their time here.Alumni are an important part of our story. Ideally, our alumni stay connected not only through memories but through a shared sense of purpose, living out the principles and character nurtured during their time here.

Our vision is to send out Christ-centered graduates who impact the world for good. One of the clearest ways we see that vision realized is through alumni who are actively engaged in mission work.

To recognize and celebrate these contributions, we are introducing the PCA Missions Wall!

The Missions Wall will highlight alumni who have participated in mission work following their time at PCA. These experiences take many forms, from local outreach to international service, but each reflects a commitment to serving others and living out one’s faith in practical and meaningful ways. Similar to our Honor Wall, which recognizes alumni who have entered military service, this wall will provide a visible and lasting way to honor these contributions within our school community.

Why Our Missions Wall Matters

The Missions Wall fulfills a dual purpose that aligns closely with the educational and spiritual mission of PCA.

First, it allows us to formally acknowledge and celebrate the work of our alumni, recognizing the tangible ways they are serving others and contributing to their communities. Highlighting these efforts reinforces the understanding that a PCA education is not only about academic preparation but also about cultivating character, leadership, and a heart for service.

PCA education is not only about academic preparation but also about cultivating character, leadership, and a heart for service.

Second, it serves as a pedagogical and inspirational tool for current students. By observing the paths taken by alumni, students gain concrete examples of how faith, education, and service intersect in real-world contexts. This encourages reflection, aspiration, and a sense of responsibility for the impact they might have in their own communities.

In these ways, the wall becomes more than a display; it becomes a bridge between generations of PCA students, linking lessons learned here with the meaningful work being done beyond campus.

A First Look

As we begin this project, we have started gathering stories from alumni who have served in diverse mission contexts.

The slideshow below offers an early look at those who have already been included. Each story demonstrates the range and depth of the ways PCA graduates live out their faith in service to others.

An Invitation to Participate

The Missions Wall will be installed in Runey Hall. As we continue to build it, we know there are many more stories to share.

If you are a PCA alumnus who has been involved in mission work, or if you know someone who has, we invite you to contribute. Your experiences are not only valuable for honoring alumni but also for shaping the vision and faith of current students.

Continuing the Story

The Missions Wall is not just a display of past accomplishments—it is a living testament to the ways a PCA education shapes lives. Each story tells of graduates who have carried their faith and values into the world, showing us how God can use one life to make a meaningful difference.

As we share these stories, we hope they spark reflection, conversation, and inspiration within our school community. They remind us that the work of education and faith does not end at graduation, and that every alumnus contributes to a larger story that continues to unfold.

We look forward to seeing more stories added to the wall, connecting past and present students, and celebrating the ways PCA alumni are serving, leading, and impacting the world for good.
