National Day of Prayer Observed at PCA
Thursday May 1, 2019 was National Day of Pray in the U.S. PCA honored this tradition by holding an all school assembly (K-12th grade) this year’s call is for Americans to” Love One Another”. This year’s theme comes from John 13:34, “Love one another. Just as I have loved you.”, as told by Jesus.
At PCA everything we do is centered around our Core Values: Christ-Centeredness, Biblical Integrity, Curiosity, Compassionate, Community, Excellence, Joy and Humility. This day of prayer served as yet another way to demonstrate all of these to the student body.
Dr. Engstrom opened up the assembly in prayer. Then the Upper School Chapel Worship Team sang songs to lead the entire school in fellowship. A group of faculty and students took turns leading the school in prayer for these sectors of society including government, family, media and education.
