Mondays with Mike: Grandparents’ Day Is Coming
Hear What the Kids Had to Say!
Dear PCA Community,
During lunch today, I walked from classroom to classroom with a microphone in hand, asking children from Kindergarten through Middle School about their grandparents.
Their answers made me smile, laugh, and at times choke up. One child said, “I thank God that He made her [my grandmother].” Another grinned and told me, “Every time we go to her house, she [my grandmother] always makes mac and cheese.”
It was a beautiful reminder of how much love, gratitude, and faith live in our halls—and how deeply our Compassionate Community is shaped by the generations that came before us.
As we close our first quarter and prepare for Grandparents’ Day this Friday, I invite you to take a few minutes to listen to this special episode of Mondays with Mike.
Whether you are a parent, a grandparent, or a friend of PCA, I think you’ll be blessed by the joyful voices of our children and the legacy of faith they celebrate.
With gratitude,
Mike Runey
