Mondays with Mike: We Got the Spirit
Happy Homecoming!
I don’t know about you, but the energy and community connection from last week are still with me as I write this. I hope the same for you. The dress-up days, pep rallies, sporting events all week, bonfires and lock-ins, and Dig Pink all brought our school community together. Thanks to all the many volunteers who surged to make it happen.
As I watched and sensed what was happening among our students, I thought that hearing the voices our students–six 8th, 9th, and 11th graders–would paint an even more full picture of the school spirit side from the inside, and why PCA’s distinct school spirit blesses and benefits all your kids/our students in every season and every activity. Enjoy!
Key Takeaways:
- Inclusive School Spirit: PCA’s school spirit is more than just cheering at games—it’s about fostering a strong sense of community where all students, regardless of their activities or friend groups, feel valued and included.
- Christian Values in Action: School spirit at PCA reflects the school’s Christian foundation, with students showing respect, humility, and grace both in victory and defeat, on and off the field.

PCA Spirit as seen Friday evening: team and fans together, with faith and humble courage, as one community! PCA is indeed a BIG smaller school: BIG is spirit and impact, smaller to enable connection and opportunity. Special thanks to Michael Griffin Photography.
