Mondays with Mike: Reflections and Resolutions: Voices of PCA students

Happy New Year, PCA Community!

I hope and pray you had a blessed Christmas and holiday season. Today, as we return, we jump right back into the important work of learning and growth, challenging our students to wrap up the first semester well. Hard to believe we’re already halfway through the school year!

As we focus on finishing strong and preparing for what’s ahead, I want to take a few weeks on the podcast to share our vision and plans with you. To start, you’ll hear reflections from some of our students on their experiences last year and their hopes for this year. In the weeks ahead, I’ll share more about what’s next for PCA.

4 Key Takeaways:

  1. Growth Through New Opportunities
Students like Elizabeth and Sarah grew by stepping out of their comfort zones, such as performing in the school musical, highlighting the value of trying new things.
  2. Faith Amid Change
Isaac’s move to a new state and school taught him to trust God and embrace new friendships, showing how challenges can lead to blessings.
  3. Community and Kindness
Stories of shared experiences and small acts of kindness, like Russell’s Veterans Day workout and Elizabeth’s encouragement to be kind, reflect PCA’s strong community values.

Trusting God with the Future
Students’ reflections on transitions and future plans, like Sarah’s confidence in God during her high school transition, show how faith shapes their growth and decisions.

Meanwhile, Russell narrates how a seemingly mundane Veterans Day workout sparked a deeper connection with his community.

As they prepare for future transitions, these students discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. They share invaluable lessons learned from their experiences, such as the importance of patience, seizing opportunities, and being kind to one another.

Their stories offer a genuine and inspiring glimpse into the life of the Seacoast school community. Join us on this journey of reflection and aspiration as we collectively trust in God’s plan and look forward to what 2025 has to offer. Here’s to growth, new beginnings, and a supportive community!
