Luau Luncheon at the Upper School
On Friday March 29th, the Upper School celebrated nicer weather by holding a Luau Luncheon. Mrs.Sarah Carri, Dean of Women coordinated the event along with several parent volunteers. There was even Hawaiian music to complete the festive atmosphere of the transformed hall.
Mr. Watson and Mr. Beal braved the weather to grill plenty of hot dogs and burgers for the buffet.
Students dressed in Hawaiian clothes enjoyed a banquet of pasta salads, potato salads, tossed salad, fresh fruit, cheese, chips, cookies, cupcakes, and more!
After lunch, there was a limbo and hula-hoop contest that drew a huge crowd.
Carol Wu was the winner of the hula-hoop contest against Amelia Moll and Lily Kohl.
In the limbo contest, some perennial winners were back to compete once again. Evenson Saintil, Grishma Kadariya, Abby Vaccaro, Madison Kniphfer, Jimmy Zeng all made it through several rounds.
In the final round, Abby and Evenson were vying for victory with Evenson who eventually coming out from under the very low limbo pole victoriously.
