Student Feature: Krishram, Sophomore Class
What do you love about Portsmouth Christian Academy?
I like the fact that it is a small and close community where everyone is together. It makes PCA more welcoming.
Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
I like Mr. Murdock as he mixes things up and keeps the class engaging. We learn a lot about the New Testament and he keeps it interesting.
In what ways have you grown (spiritually, academically and/or developmentally) as a result of your experience at PCA?
I have grown academically as I have learned what type of organization skills work for me. PCA has shown me what things I am good at.
Portsmouth Christian Academy’s mission is “to honor God joyfully by inspiring students to maximize their God-given potential.” How do you experience this mission at PCA?
I experience this mission as PCA helps me to do my best in every area of my studies.
How do you feel that PCA is preparing you for graduation, college and life?
PCA is preparing me for college as its teachers share important experiences and teach us skills that we will need.
What makes PCA different from other schools in our area?
I think PCA is different because it lets each student focus on what’s best for them but still encourages everybody.
What opportunities do you experience at PCA that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
I like being part of the Tech Team for theater and chapel. I don’t think I would be able to do that in other schools.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your PCA experience?
It has been good and I like the idea of student input.
