In the annals of PCA history, there have been many moments of triumph, but perhaps none quite as remarkable as witnessing the rise of two senior athletes, Jonas Teeter and Tim Kelm. In the realm of track and field, they have etched their names in the record books, solidifying their status as the best men’s distance runner and sprinter, respectively, in PCA history. What makes their achievements even more extraordinary is that they have both reached this pinnacle of success in the same year, an occurrence that is nothing short of amazing.

The recent State Championships provided a platform for Teeter and Kelm to showcase their exceptional talents, and they did not disappoint. Teeter led the charge with two stellar 2nd place finishes in the 3000m and 1500m races, both in record-breaking times. Meanwhile, Kelm blazed through the competition, clinching victory in the 55m dash and securing an impressive 5th place finish in the 300m, setting a new school record in the process. The boys 4x400m relay team also left their mark on the event, setting yet another record with a remarkable time of 3:45.32.

One of the most exhilarating moments of the day came when Teeter staged a breathtaking come-from-behind performance to claim 2nd place in the fiercely contested 1500m race. It was a testament to his unwavering determination and indomitable spirit, encapsulating the essence of sportsmanship and resilience.

Teeter and Kelm’s stellar performances have not gone unnoticed beyond the state level. Both athletes have earned coveted spots in the upcoming New England Championships, a testament to their talent and dedication. Kelm ranks 3rd among all New Hampshire athletes in the 55m dash, while Teeter holds the 3rd and 4th positions in the 3000m and 1500m races, respectively. These achievements underscore their status as some of the fastest track athletes not just in the state, but in the entire country.

He has also earned Granite State Conference All-Conference honors, further cementing his legacy as one of PCA’s finest athletes. Similarly, Kelm’s meteoric rise is reflected in his school records in the 55m and 300m races and as a member of the 4x400m and Distance Medley Relays, along with his accolades as the Granite State Conference Runner of the Year and All-State honoree.

And let’s not forget Teeter’s latest record-breaking feat—as he set a new school record in the 5000m with a remarkable time of 15:24.24.
