Student Feature: AJ, Senior Class
What do you love about Portsmouth Christian Academy?
Basically everything.
Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
Mr. Beal. He clearly cares about me. Plus he does bible study which I look forward to each Tuesday during lunch.
In what ways have you grown (spiritually, academically and/or developmentally) as a result of your experience at PCA?
I really feel like I have matured at PCA. It has been very different from being homeschooled; however, it has been a great change. The teachers I have push me to be more and more like Christ each day. Chapel is also another area that I enjoy. I feel like coming to PCA is one of the best choices I have made in my life.
Portsmouth Christian Academy’s mission is “to honor God joyfully by inspiring students to maximize their God-given potential.” How do you experience this mission at PCA?
I experience this through relationships with students, coaches, and teachers. They all want the best for me.
How do you feel that PCA is preparing you for graduation, college and life?
By helping me become more like God.
What makes PCA different from other schools in our area?
God is the focus. Plain and simple.
What opportunities do you experience at PCA that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
The mentality of doing everything “for the Lord”. I especially experienced this during soccer season. We really bonded as brothers in Christ.
