Portsmouth Christian Academy (PCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Conway as its new Director of Development. In this role, Conway will lead PCA’s fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, and community partnerships, helping to advance the school’s mission to inspire students to maximize their God-given potential.

A native of New Hampshire, Carrie currently resides in Dover with her husband Justin and their daughter, Adeline. Carrie has grown roots in the seacoast as a proud parent, professional, coach, community member and volunteer. The Conways have been a PCA family since Adeline’s introduction to preschool 7 years ago. Carrie brings over 30 years of experience and passion of cultivating relationships, building partnerships, grant writing, stewardship and growth mindset collaborations.

Carrie holds a Bachelor’s degree from Plymouth State University and a Master’s degree from the University of New England, both in Social Work, with a minor in Sociology.

“Carrie’s journey to PCA is a testament to her commitment to serving others,” says Head of School, Mike Runey.

“She joins us after 23 years of dedicated, faithful service within the criminal justice system of Strafford County. Her extensive experience in building relationships and fostering community will be invaluable in her new role. Her background uniquely equips her to connect with people and champion the vision for PCA.”

“Our daughter has been wrapped in God’s arms since our introduction to Portsmouth Christian Academy seven years ago,” said Conway. “As a parent and volunteer at PCA, I see the day-to-day dedication, love, and professionalism that is demonstrated by the staff, faculty, volunteers, and leadership teams. The mission and vision of PCA is one that runs deep inside of my heart and soul. I am humbled and excited to be able to march alongside passionate individuals, through Christ, to continue to grow PCA into the future.”

As Director of Development, Conway will oversee all aspects of PCA’s development program, including major gifts, annual giving, volunteers, alumni connections, capital campaigns, and donor stewardship. She will also work closely with school leadership to align fundraising priorities with the school’s strategic plan.
