Cultivating Artists of Excellent
Craft & Character

PCA’s all-school mission is to maximize each child’s God-given potential. In the Fine Arts department, an additional goal exists; a goal to cultivate artists of excellent craft and character who reflect God’s image through joyful creative expression. PCA has developed its Fine Arts curriculum to provide a rich foundation for cultivating a lifelong love of the arts.

Our program encourages students to explore their artistic gifts and combines classroom instruction, individual skill-development, and extra-curricular opportunities for each student to maximize their potential in the artistic expression of their choice.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Theatre

From our fall theatre production to the Spring Musical, students have opportunities to take center stage, or be part of the pit band, set design, AV crew or stage crew.

Music

Every student at Portsmouth Christian Academy is given the opportunity to create music through classroom instruction, chapel worship and participation in our band, chorus, or orchestra programs.

“It’s been so encouraging to come into an environment, both in and out of school, where everyone just wants to help and cheer you on – especially in the theatre community.
