Costa Rica Trip
Over Spring Break, eleven seventh grade students experienced Coasta Rican culture and missions work, and studied life science as they explored caves and the jungle.
Around the World in Ten Days
In June, Cara Song (’16) and Dr. Susan Pleticha led a trip to China with a group of alumni, parents, and students. A great introduction to the country and culture of China, the trip included visits to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall, as well as lesser known “off the beaten path” destinations.

Runkun “Cara” Song founded the Chinese Club in her sophomore year at PCA and has served on the school’s student council. When she was 16 years old, she reached International Profession Certification Association Senior Level Chinese Language Teacher status, as well as Level A in Chinese Mandarin and level F in Japanese Test. This year, as a senior, Cara opened the Chinese Calligraphy workshop at Harvard University during the summer months. She has been doing Chinese calligraphy since she was 6 years old. Combining her passion for calligraphy with a desire to help others in need and preserve traditional Chinese culture, she launched New New Star Corp (NNS) in September 2015. Read More
The JH Student Council organized another successful year of collecting $5,847 worth of food items, 156 coats, and over 700 books for local charities. Read More
