Students Build New Dugouts at PCA

Devin Lund is a junior this year at PCA. He is also actively involved in Boy Scouts as a Life Scout. To become an Eagle Scout he must complete an “Eagle Scout Project” that benefits the community in some way. For his project, Devin is leading a group of volunteers as they build four dugouts at PCA for the baseball and softball fields. The dugouts will provide shelter to players during inclement weather and safety from foul balls, while also keeping everyone focused on the game. The project requires Devin to raise funding for materials to complete the project as well as organizing the volunteers and leading them in the construction and completion of the dugouts.

On October 25, 2013, the construction of the dugouts began. Student and parent volunteers were hard at work building the foundations. Stay tuned for more updates here on the website and on the PCA Facebook page as the project progresses.
