What brought you to PCA?
The position of Lower School Principal

What do you love most about PCA?
The intentionality and genuine pursuit of Christ-centered academic excellence.

Why do you like working at PCA?
The community; the genuine desire to minister and to use teaching as a ministry; the unique personalities that somehow mesh so well together.

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word?
Intentional. There is thought, research, wisdom, and prayer behind all the decisions made, big or small.

How are faith and learning integrated at PCA?
I like how it’s not a “one or the other” mentality at PCA. We don’t have to be a Christian school OR an Academically rigorous school — we can aim to be both.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your work that helps shape the environment at PCA?
As I’ve been reminded many times, I’m new and not from “these parts.” I also think my training and time in teacher education has uniquely prepared me to lead and support teachers.

What sets PCA students apart from other students?
I think students are different at PCA because of their family’s commitment to partnering with our school. The involvement of family in a child’s education can never be overlooked or undervalued. Because we encourage the family partnership, I can see how it pays off by how our students interact with each other and with teachers.
