Get to Know Mr. Garlington
Mr. Garlington grew up as a missionary kid overseas in both Morocco and Mexico, served 5 years in the United States Coast Guard, and have been teaching Jr./Sr. High English since completing his master’s degree. Mr. Garlington and his wife live in Durham, New Hampshire, and one of my greatest joys is helping students “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Ps. 34:8) through literature/language arts.
What are some favorite moments teaching at PCA?
Some of my favorite moments from teaching at PCA have been when I’ve prayed with students. Middle school can be a challenging time, and I consider it a privilege to come alongside students and help them bring their burdens to the Lord. I also love to see students get excited about literature!
What is your favorite scripture?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
