JH Boys Basketball going to the Championship!

The 7/8 grade boys basketball team finished their season in the GENH League as the #2 seed.  They had a first round bye in the playoffs and defeated St. Elizabeth Seton in the semi-finals on Wednesday night.  They will be playing in the Championship Game on Saturday (1/31) at 11:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Boys Varsity Basketball

Boys Varsity Team brings experience to their game.

Our Varsity Boys cruised to a 75-35 win over Nute and improved their record to 7-1.  The JV Boys also caught fire… scoring 81 points and defeating Nute by 36.

They were featured this week in an article in Foster’s Daily Democrat.

The Portsmouth Christian Academy boys basketball team has a number of weapons at its disposal. Its two biggest are senior forward Eric Bontemps, and depth. “This year has been pretty much a different guy every night,” said Portsmouth Christian coach Lewis Atkins, whose team is 6-1. “In our first five games, five different players got game balls. Girls Varsity Basketball

Last night was another great night for PCA’s basketball programs.  Our Varsity Girls went to Nute and handed them only their second loss on their season in an overtime thrilling win!  Our Lady Eagles improved their record to 6-4!

Winter Track

Congratulations to the Boys Track 4×400 meter relay team who broke the school record by a wide margin last weekend. Athletes were: Jeremy Johnson, Jack Longo, Tommy Longo, and Peter Taylor.

Gymnastics

The PCA gymnastics team competed in Dover Saturday morning and had an outstanding meet! Lyndsey Longo, Dasia James and Rocky Skubisz all had their best scores on floor this season and best all around scores. Dasia has INCREASED her floor score by 2.45 points since her first meet!!
