At Portsmouth Christian Academy, we partner with families during these critical preschool years to help each child reach his or her potential. Our Curriculum
Through instruction and hands-on discovery, we introduce students to the world of learning in a way that builds strong self-efficacy (“I can do that!”). Our main goals are to help students:
- Develop readiness skills that promote pre-reading, as well as early math skills. When these skills are mastered, many of our students naturally move into the beginning stages of reading, writing, and computing.
- Learn about community, including cooperative play, experimentation, and family activities.
- Explore God’s creation, recognizing the characteristics of the world around them how they fit into that world.
- Experience a variety of enrichment subjects such as music, art, physical education, and library.

Half-day program: 8:10am – 11:30am
Full-day program: 8:10am – 3:00pm
4-year-olds
3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
5 days (Monday through Friday)
Half-day program: 8:10am – 11:30am
Full-day program: 8:10am -3:00pm
PCAP Before and Aftercare are also available
To help support our busy families, PCA offers Before and Aftercare options for all our students. Families have the flexibility to drop off their kiddos early or stay a little later after the school day. Families interested in Before and Aftercare services can utilize them on a drop-in basis for full school days and will be billed on a monthly basis.

PCA families also have the option to take advantage of our after-school Kaleidoscope program which offers activities such as basketball, music lessons, karate, LEGO STEAM education, ceramics, soccer, ballet, solar engineering, robotics, archery, Coyote Club (outdoor wildlife education), and more.
